Recruitment Branding:
Integrated Employment Marketing |
Computer generated racing cars in the advertisement to represent hi-tech and rapid progress?? …, an image of handshake business people as a background …?? Is that what called Employer Branding? By the end of 1990s, it has become clear that this was no longer appropriate. Changing market forces had molded the population at large into highly sophisticated consumer of marketing messages for whom 'man climbs mountain' advertisements were at best 'just passed' and at worst 'laughable'.
"The good news is everyone can brand"
To brand your company, is very much to do with to communicate your business core value to your potential targeted candidates, not only through visual advertisements and activities i.e. newspaper ad, internet job posting, radio ad, job fair or even job posters, Recruitment Branding or Employer Branding has very much to do with how your recruitment staff as well as other related people in each related department in the organization view Recruitment; they must be able to effectively communicate the company's core business values to the targeted candidates.
Human Resource/ Recruitment Staff must also be a true communicator who has practical business sense, who can practically and effectively communicate with/ or persuade the top management to view Recruitment as an Investment. Investing in people is the key to succeed in today's business. Communicating who you are, treating your recruitment the same way as you treat your products or services, what your company does when launching new products or services, is the basic key to start with. This is what I call Integrated Employment Marketing.
